BISON, by Jane Baca and Star Tafoya, Mother and daughter from Santa Clara Pueblo. Jane (1919-2011) was a sister to the famed painter, Pablita Velarde. 2.5 by 4.25 inches $220.
Sgrafitto redware with Avanyu (water serpent) motif by Haungooah (Art Cody) (1943 – 1985) Kiowa married in at Santa Clara pueblo. 3 by 3.75 inches. $450.

Ryan Roller created this one-of-a-kind lidded redware jar with an Avanyu (Water Serpent) pattern carved into the base and added a sculpture of the avanyu on the lid, In a first for him, he added a blue-green stone, found while elk hunting, for the horn and then carved and painted a piece of walnut for the water issuing from it’s mouth. (Also something unique, as most potter have lightning issuing from its mouth. A terrific work in clay! $1000.

Two images of a small redware that features and Avanyu by Anita Suazo. 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide. $125. Ryan Roller of Santa Clara Pueblo made this striking ‘barb-wire’ design blackware jar, 4 by 5.25 inches. $600.

Eric Fender (Than Tsideh/Sun Bird) of Santa Clara Pueblo created this matte black on polished black jar with an Avanyu motif plus sun, clouds and dragonflies. 4.5 inches high and 4 inches across. $700.

This jar was made by Sharon Naranjo-Garcia of Santa Clara Pueblo. 9 by 6 inches. $875.

A 12” tall San Juan ‘wedding’ vase that dates somewhere around 1900. It had the original price tag on the bottom: $2.75 Due to inflation over the past 100+ years….. its current market value is $1275.

 
 

The turtle in the photos above was made by Ryan Roller. It measures 6.5 inches long and 3.5 inches high, $600.

This unsigned Santa Clara was made in the 1950s. It is 7 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall. $220.

A canteen form by renowned potter Ron Suazo, employing a special firing, sgrafitto carving of a feather motif and bear paws, with turquoise inlays. 3.5 inches high and 4.5 inches across. $360.

A blackware vase by Minnie Vigil (Santa Clara-Pojoaque) who is best known for her polychrome ware. This was made about 20-25 years ago as Minnie, now 89,  makes very little pottery anymore. 6.5 inches high. $400.

< This polychrome dish was made by the well-regarded potter, Belen Tapia (1914-1999). It measures 5.75 by just over 1 inches. $110.

Above are two miniatures. The red pot is by Margaret Naranjo. 2 inches by 1 inch. $110. The wedding vase is signed lightly in pencil, but is not legible. 2.5 inches tall. $60.
