Greg Sarris is the longtime chairman of one of small California tribes that have survived: the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. This volume centers around stories told by two crows: Question Woman and Answer Woman.Question Woman can only remember a story by asking to hear it again and Answer Woman can tell the stories but cannot think of them unless asked. It derives from traditional stories of the Pomo and Miwok. $24.

A Qöqölö by Manuel Chavarria, well-known for his unique old style work. 10 inches tall and $600 (SANTA FE)
Sometime after WWII Qööqöqlö was given an additional role. To combat the intrusion of non-Hopi traditions, specifically Santa Claus and Christmas, he was assigned the task of taking presents to Hopi children just before Christmas Day. He is also known as a storyteller.hey may appear with faces of the color of any of the four cardinal directions. Yellow is for the North.
