![]() A classic Patania piece from the 1950s or so, set with natural nugget turquoise from the Godber Mine in Nevada.   (This mine was earlier known as the Burnham and Dry Creek mine.)   The pendant, which has both the Frank Patania Sr. hallmark and the Thunderbird shop hallmarks, measures 2.25 inches across.   $525   (It is strung on a strand of nice handmade beads which are $110 if you would like it as well.) |
![]() The matching bola tie and buckle are early works by Frank Patania Jr., set with a turquoise mosaic of natural turquoise from the Blue Gem Mine in Nevada. The bola measures 1.8 by 1.25 inches and is $750. The buckle, which fits a 1 1/4 inch belt, measures 2 by 1.75 inches and is $1100 (SOLD). |
![]() This highly collectible box measures 5.5 by 3.5 by 1.4 inches and bears the hallmark of Frank Patania Sr and his Thunderbird shopmark.   The stampwork along the sides (rare on Patania boxes) was done by Jimmie Herald Sr., a Navajo smith who worked for both Frank Sr and Jr.   It originally was monogrammed, and when the monogram was removed in the 1960s, the Nevada nugget turquoise was added.   $4000. |
![]() This well-designed, well-crafted butterfly pin, just over 2 inches long, was made in the Patania Thunderbird shop some time in the late 1930s or early 1940s.   It has a small Thunderbird hallmark near the upper right wing.   $375. |

The cross is from the Patania workshop, circa 1950s, and has both the
Thunderbird hallmark and the FP hallmark.   It measures 2.5 inches long, including the
jump ring.   $325. |
